Decolonizing Neurodivergence: from Violence to Love Course

This short course is the first of its kind. It connects some very important dots about the role that systems of oppression play in the personal development of Neurodivergent People.

This course is a complete conversation about the relationship between colonization, White supremacy and what we call neurodivergency (ADHD, Autism, learning disabilities, Bipolar Disorder, Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and others). While these titles represent diagnosable conditions, they are also social-political labels about what kinds of workers people are. Will it be easy or difficult to extract labor from people whom are labeled in these ways?

This learning experience includes one-to-one guidance from Dr. Kimberly Douglass, a pioneer in the work that combines neurodivergency and decolonization.

This course is for people who want to challenge systems of oppression, starting with their own beliefs. This course invites you to challenge your basic understanding of what it means to be productive in our society and to examine how that understanding affects the way you think about neurodivergency.
